Sweet & Spicy Cauliflower

Instructions


Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut up the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and put them in a bowl. Add in the avocado oil, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Give it a good toss and place the seasoned florets on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or when they start to turn brown on the tips.

While the cauliflower cooks heat a small saucepan over low heat, and all the sauce ingredients (honey-arrowroot powder). Continually whisk until the sauce just begins to bubble and get thick. Take the saucepan off the heat and set it aside.

When you take the cauliflower out of the oven let it sit for 1-2 minutes to cool slightly. Place the cauliflower in a serving bowl and toss with the sauce. Top with diced green onion and black sesame seeds. White sesame seeds are fine too. I just love the pretty contrast of the black against the cauliflower. Enjoy!

2 stalks Green Onion (diced)
1 tsp Sesame Seeds (black)
1/2 cup Honey
2 Garlic (cloves, minced)
1/4 cup Tamari
1 tbsp Sriracha
1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 tsp Arrowroot Powder
